-BV Black Knit Collar Jacket
There isn’t a single part of this jacket that isn’t made from knit material. From the front to the back, and from the sleeves to the collar, the entire jacket is composed of thin black leather strips interlaced together. At first glance, it appears to be a simple black jacket, but upon closer inspection, one can see the dense diamond-shaped patterns on its surface—each pattern consists of one leather strip pressing against another, with no breaks or gaps in the pattern.
The black leather used for the jacket is smooth and untextured, completely different from the suede texture. The smooth leather strips have subtle gloss variations at different angles, preventing the jacket from appearing too dull or heavy. The black color creates a consistent contrast across the entire jacket, making it one of the most stable colors among all knit designs. The overall thickness of the jacket is moderate, providing a decent amount of stretch without being rigid. When worn, the jacket has a natural sagging effect.
This jacket differs significantly from other models with lapels. The collar is entirely knit leather, with the edges naturally turning outwards, revealing the complete diamond-shaped patterns on the collar. There is a silver metal zipper at the neckline, extending from the base of the collar all the way down. When the zipper is closed, the collar forms a slightly raised lapel; when opened, the collar flattens out, creating a classic lapel shape. One jacket with two different collar styles, switched through by adjusting the zipper’s position.
A long silver metal zipper runs from the base of the collar all the way down. The zipper pull is a rectangular silver metal piece with the words “BOTTEGA VENETA” engraved on it. The zipper teeth are silver-colored, creating a contrast with the black knit leather, and they are the only parts of the jacket that reflect metallic光泽。The knitting patterns on both sides of the zipper are perfectly symmetrical. There are vertical pockets on both sides of the front, with the edges of the pockets being naturally folded back from the knit leather, without any additional hardware.
The jacket has a black knitted ribbed waistband, creating a contrast with the smooth knit leather texture. The ribbed waistband is elastic, fitting well around the wrist without being too tight. The color of the waistband matches the black of the knit leather, forming a seamless transition between the materials.
The hem also features a black knitted ribbed waistband, complementing the cuffs. It has moderate elasticity, naturally curving slightly towards the waistline, without becoming loose or flaring out.
In the center of the back, there is a horizontal seam that goes over the shoulders, located near the scapulae. The knitting direction above and below the seam remains consistent, with the patterns continuing seamlessly. The back has no zippers, pockets, or any other hardware. It’s a blank surface made of knit leather, clean and elegant like a carefully crafted canvas.
Inside, the jacket has a black satin lining, which feels smooth against the skin. This creates a contrast between the rough outer texture and the smooth inner surface. There is a white triangular badge on the inside of the neckline, bearing the words “BOTTEGA VENETA” and “MADE IN ITALY”.
